007Realty Corp., Brokerage ("we") is a real estate brokerage registered in Ontario. This policy covers 007realty.ca. It is written under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), which governs how we handle personal information in the course of commercial activity.
What the site collects
Nothing at all unless you submit the contact form. This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and stores nothing in your browser. There is no tracking pixel, no advertising tag and no session identifier.
When you submit the enquiry form, we receive:
- your name and email address, which the form requires;
- your telephone number, your selected area of interest and your message, each of which is optional;
- the page you sent the enquiry from, so we know what you were reading;
- the date of the enquiry.
Your IP address is used momentarily to rate-limit submissions — a defence against automated abuse. It is held in memory for at most ten minutes and is never written to a database or attached to your enquiry.
The subscription form under a market brief asks for your email address and nothing else. It sends the same three background fields as the enquiry form — the page you subscribed from, the date, and a marker saying it was a subscription rather than an enquiry — and no name, because we do not need one to send a monthly email.
Why we collect it
To answer you, and to keep a record of the enquiry so that a later conversation makes sense. That is the whole purpose. We do not use enquiries for advertising, we do not sell or rent personal information to anyone, and we do not build profiles.
Submitting the form is your consent to be contacted about your enquiry. You can withdraw it at any time by asking us to.
A brief subscription is separate and consents to one thing only: the monthly market brief. Subscribers are held on their own list, are not contacted about anything else, and are not added to the enquiry list. Every brief carries an unsubscribe link, and replying to one and asking works just as well.
Who processes it
Two third parties are involved in running this site. Each acts as a processor on our behalf; neither is given your information for their own purposes.
- Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France) receives your enquiry or your subscription. It stores your details as a contact record, delivers the notification email to us, and delivers the monthly brief to subscribers. Brevo processes the data on servers in the European Union.
- Vercel (United States) hosts the site and, like any web host, records ordinary request logs including IP addresses.
Nothing else. Reading a page on this site makes no request to any other company. The typefaces are served from our own domain rather than from Google Fonts, which is the usual exception on a site like this one and would otherwise disclose your IP address to Google on every page you open. There are no embedded maps, no social widgets, no advertising network and no tag manager.
Two kinds of page link outward: the events page links to the organisers it lists, and each article carries share links to the usual networks. Both are ordinary links rather than embedded buttons, which is the whole point — an official share widget is a script belonging to that company, and it reports every reader of the page whether or not anybody clicks it. Nothing is requested from any of them until you choose to go, and those links carryrel="noreferrer", so the site you land on is not told which page you came from. What happens once you are there is governed by their practices, not ours.
Information held by these processors may be stored or accessed outside Canada, and is therefore subject to the laws of the country it is in, including lawful access by courts and law enforcement there. We use contractual and technical measures to require comparable protection, but we cannot exempt it from foreign law. PIPEDA requires us to tell you this plainly, so we have.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for as long as the relationship they belong to is live, and then for two years after the last contact, so that we can pick up a conversation that resumes. After that they are deleted.
A brief subscription is kept until you unsubscribe. Unsubscribing removes the address from the list; ask us and we will delete the record outright.
Separately, where an enquiry becomes a transaction, Ontario real estate legislation requires a brokerage to retain transaction records for a set period. Those records are kept for as long as the law requires and are not deleted on request, because we are not permitted to delete them.
Your rights
Under PIPEDA you may, at any time and at no cost:
- ask what personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it;
- ask us to correct anything that is wrong;
- ask us to delete it, subject to the retention obligations described above;
- withdraw your consent to being contacted.
Email info@007realty.ca with the request. We will confirm receipt and respond within 30 days, which is the period PIPEDA allows. There is no form to fill in and we will not ask you why.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS and the enquiry form posts to our own endpoint rather than to a third-party form service. Access to the Brevo account is restricted to people at the brokerage who need it. No transmission over the internet is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise.
Children
This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us an enquiry, email us and we will delete it.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, write toinfo@007realty.ca and we will respond. If you are still unsatisfied, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, which oversees PIPEDA.
Changes
If what the site does changes, this page changes with it, and the review date at the top will move. There is no version history; the page describes current practice.
